There are many powerful numerical and statistical techniques available that may be used to extract additional information from images in order to significantly enhance their diagnostic value. 

This meeting aims to explore how we can make better and more creative use of the counts that form nuclear medicine and PET images.  It is hoped that the meeting will coincide with the revised publication of IPEM report 73, "Mathematical Techniques in Nuclear Medicine".
