The Departments of Medical Physics at Poole & Bournemouth Hospitals are hosting the scientific meeting of the South West IPEM group on 7th and 8th May 2010.
The social programme will commence on Friday 7th May, with lunch on the historic Poole Quay. A boat trip to and guided tour of Brownsea Island (of Baden Powell and red squirrel acclaim) is planned, followed by a visit to the UK headquarters of the RNLI. The RNLI will be our hosts for dinner on Friday Evening, when delegates can enjoy good food and company overlooking Holes Bay. The scientific meeting on Saturday Morning will be at Poole Hospital, together with a commercial exhibition and poster display. Lunch will be followed by department visits for those interested.
The scientific meeting is open to all staff groups and the Friday afternoon, evening events and Saturday lunch are open to all, including partners and accompanying persons (subject to availability). Excellent (but limited) accommodation is reserved at the RNLI and a number of other accommodations will be suggested.
The meeting provides an excellent opportunity to share reports from all staff groups on work recently completed, or work in progress in the South West centres. The organisers strongly encourage submissions by clinical technologists, trainee clinical scientists and students.
To submit a paper, poster or register for the meeting, please reply to Andrew Hunt (either by returning the attached tear-off slip or by e-mail):
